The following is photography from a trip to the United States and Canada. The visit started in New York with an ensuing road trip which took in Niagara Falls from both sides of the border. Followed by driving to Ann Arbor, Michigan; mainly for a friends wedding but to also take in the sites.
All three places have a charm for differing reasons. For me and most others, we see New York City as a hive of human endeavour. With so many historic buildings, structures of significance on every corner. One of those being the American Museum of Natural History, which I highly recommend as there is a so much to enjoy. The Museum of Modern Art is another favourite of mine. Niagara Falls is nature at its finest, showing how powerful and unforgiving it can be. Ann Arbor allowed me to see a side of the USA different to the generalisations we hear. It is less in your face than NYC with a warmer feeling coming from the people. The trip ended with my good friend from school getting married, which was a lovely way to finish. Although I didn’t manage to take any photos there, I left that to the professionals.
Taking Photos in North America was very enjoyable, the variety of places that I visited helped. Hopefully, I will be able to see more of these countries in the future. Visiting the west coast of the USA has always interested me, San Fransico in particular, maybe on another road trip. However, the COVID pandemic has put that idea on hold for the foreseeable future.
